About us

Who we are

OKChess.org is an independent news publication covering the cryptocurrency and digital-asset industry. We report on markets, regulation, protocol engineering and the companies building financial infrastructure on public networks.

The publication is owned and operated by OKChess Media, a privately held company registered in England and Wales. No exchange, token issuer, protocol foundation or venture fund holds any equity in the company or any editorial influence over what we publish.

How we are funded. Revenue comes from display advertising and reader subscriptions. Advertisers have no advance sight of editorial coverage. Sponsored material, when it appears, is labelled as such at the top of the page and is never written by the newsroom.

Where we work. Reporters are based in London and New York. Stories carry the byline of the reporter who wrote them, the section they were filed under, and the date and time of publication in UTC.
